Main review:

I'm not normally into the crime drama tv series that much but i though i would give this series a chance , low & behold the pilot episode got me hooked ive love the series ever since.
This series has a good balance are crime drama as well as a blend of comedy which make this a brilliant series , which is a a little odd but in a good way.

The whole series revolves around the writer Richard castle played by Nathan Fillion who a bit of a joker kind of get on Kate Beckett nerves (Stana Katic ) but in a funny way as castle is writing a book on her with a character called Nicky heat, though out the season you see their relationship go through there up & down as there friendship blossom's.

This is one of many Tv series ive actually enjoyed watching & one series i reconmend if you haven't yet watched any of the season. its not only funny at time but its very entertaining for with drama. Stana Katic Nathan Fillion have great on screen chemistry which is why this series is so good & funny special when castle is a playing mood the scene are just funny.

I've gotta admit i dont know why i didnt watch this series sooner , although this is funny its not a series for your younger viewers as some episode have alot of bloody crime scene & people getting shot, as well a sex scenes which adds to the flare of the series theme.

Sex & NudityNo nudity. Some sexual references in some episodes. Talks about rape and sexual assault. There is one sex scene in an episode in the first season however it is not explicit at all.

Violence & Gore: Sometimes, some bloody images are shown and some violence shown. Nothing too graphic

Profanity : Infrequent uses of bitch, slut, ass, bastard, damn, and hell.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Sometimes, drinking and smoking shown.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: Some bloody images maybe too intense for children. And some episodes may frighten them too

What i love about this series is the way castle use's his writing skill to help the police solve crime's in the clever way , this is what make castle character brilliant some what funny at time along with Kate Beckett who has a very dark family past that come to light after years which puts a strain not only on her but on her friendship with castle.
This adds the drama of the series which is actually worth watching,  Stana Katic is beautiful, but not so much that you wonder why she is a cop and not some goddess on an Italian beach like so many actresses tend to be.

She plays her part brilliantly , and the scene she has with Fillon when he, as Castle is peeling away her layers is amazing. She barely gives anything away until the very last moment, but with her facial expressions you know it's coming making her character all the more wonderful.

Nathan Fillion is wonderful as the successful, charismatic, and egocentric Pop mystery writer who seems to be not a drunk and is a loving, attentive father apparently who also has an intriguing backstory with his publisher/ex-wife which I hope is a back story they continue to develop throughout the series.

If there is any series you should watch its this series brilliant from episode to episode through season to season if you love the crime drama's with a comedy side as well this is a series i reconmend watching, special if you a Nathan Fillion fan.

The Magicians

I've just stumbled apoun this new series called the magicians which is a new syfy channel series i assume, as to which is based on the trilogy books by Lev Grossman.

it got my interest peak with the use of magic the plot After being recruited to a secretive academy, a group of students discover that the magic they read about as children is very real and more dangerous than they ever imagined. But will getting hooked on the thrill of magic distract them from honing their powers when they need them most?

Now think of the film hogwarts with harry potter but in a more modern day collage that you go to but this collage teaches magic & is hidden from the out side world. Now your think ok so this is just another x-men magic teaching series......that what i thought until i started watch it.

Its a little slow to start with introducing you to the main characters of the series, then it start to get weird but cool you see students doing a magical stuff with their gifts, which it great because you get this brilliant C.G.I visual effects. Now you thinking that this is just going to be light comedic story telling series.....you thinking well thats just boring why watch if it just going to be that way?

Well straight off in the first episode i can tell you this is no ordinary series, what ive seen so far is there is a era of destiny with the main character in this series with a twist, but this is no light comedic series hell no this has a very dark concept.

I have watch the full first series but this has some potential to be a good series if it hasn't been cancelled. If you like harry potter this is more of a up to date modern day harry potter with a very dark concept in magic that is actually worth checking out, im surprised they have made a film out of it .

Shadow Hunters: The mortal instruments

For anyone that has watched the film Mortal instruments city of bone will understand this story very well, this is a series based on that very film, where the story continues only in a different storyline names shadow hunters. the plot is that Clary Fray is a normal teenager living in Brooklyn with her mother. One day, she discovers that she is descended from a line of Shadowhunters; humans born with angelic blood that fight to protect our world from demons. After her mother is kidnapped, Clary must team up with these Shadowhunters: Jace, Alec and Isabelle and her best friend Simon on a quest to find her mother and recover her past.

The only problem your gonna get is alot of bad reviews from whinny people that dont like anything new & compare this to the twilight film's which is a light harsh & stupid, but that is their opinion & not fact, Apoun watching this series yes it has a slightly weak start but i do see alot of potential in this series.
Like the film which i actually enjoyed watching this following the concept very closely in the war between the shadow hunters & demons that want to destroy the world. in a real world concept were vampire warlock, demon are real hiding in the shadow world on the humans where no mondain can see them. So far the series did start off a little weak in it plot but i see a good series start from this story. So this is worth checking out if you have watched the film or read the books.

With no idea whose side they are on, they face a deadly decision. Will these amnesiacs turn their backs on history, or will their pasts catch up with them?

Likes : So far with this series its open with a strong start keeping the audience attention by giving a mystery straight off the bat as you come to see a group of individual awake from a cryo-sleep with no memories & no clue of why or who they are or who put them on the spaceship in the first pace.
Such is the premise of "Dark Matter"--a new show from Syfy that invokes similarities to "Firefly" with its characterizations. There's the gun-loving meathead , the mysterious young woman...but viewers soon realize that the characters must reinvent themselves.
Thankfully you do discover who they are while still manages to keep its mystery as to way these
group were put together which is brilliant start to a series it reveal just enough to keep you interested while still keeping you entertained.
Dark Matter is a Canadian science fiction series created by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, and is based on the comic book of the same name. Dark Matter is a comic book series created by writers Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie. The science fiction story follows six individuals who wake up in a spacecraft with no memory of their past. The concept was originally intended for a television series, but was published through Dark Horse Comics with art by Garry Brown. On October 15, 2014 Syfy announced that they had picked up a 13-episode first season of a Dark Matter TV series to premiere June 12, 2015.
So far ive watched two episode it got promise, the best way i could describe this series its a cross between The Nostromo or any number of other spaceship depictions when it come to the ship its self, with a Firefly , Stargate universe & Andromeda feel with the crew all rolled in to one series, that is a must for anyone that loves the sci-fi series has this has potential to go pretty far if audience like.
It shaping up to be one of those space pirate series like firefly so hopefully this series dose well, as ive said before this is only just a start to a series so i cant really give you much more detail other than the fact its worth checking out.

Dislikes : Unclear at the moment as it a new series.

Overall : Great solid start, good mysterious start, good choice of actors & actress.

However, he is seen again, as Daredevil continues searching for him in episode 2.
It is mentioned that a young boy is kidnapped with the intention of being sold into human trafficking.

Even later, the same woman is attacked in her apartment by a man with a knife, who throws her around the room, but doesn't attack her with the knife.

Episode 8: A man looks at himself in the mirror and literally sees himself as a boy, covered in blood. A man scuffles with and then instructs his son to beat up another boy who was mouthing off. Later this same man strikes and then beats his wife with a belt with his son in the room (although the actual violence is off screen, the focus of the scene is on the boy's face, yet the woman screaming/crying and the sounds of the belt smacking can be heard).

Later in the episode, Daredevil interrogates a junkie and throws him into a stack of bottles, bloody injury detail on his hands and arms from the broken glass are shown. The blades slash Daredevil several times (complete with blood spray) and one eventually hooks him in his side and Daredevil is dragged.

Episode 10: Matt Murdock has a bloodied, lacerated, swollen face as well as stitches and bruises on his body throughout the episode. It is mentioned that a man raped his daughter repeatedly and got away with it, so Daredevil hunts him down and beats him until conscious. It is said later that the rapist's jaw was broken.

Story: A blind lawyer, with his other senses super humanly enhanced, fights crime as a costumed superhero.

Likes : Could i honest say this is a perfect series, sadly no because it has a few flaws, but its ok in place but not something i find myself hook on, dosent really have the edge that CW Arrow has in pace & action but im going to give it a fair review but im not jumping on the marvel band wagon like most of the review are from.
The one thing this series had going for was the dark gritty concept but its not enough to make this a series anything to be hype about ya there are moments this series looks to be OK, Charlie Cox dose a pretty good job with the performance as Matt Murdock so there are praises there for the series, some of the other acting is ok, Vincent D'Onofrio as the king pin is ok but dosent really come off as Wilson Fisk the voice seem a little force at time but the acting is ok. i wasn't impressed with the first episode so i decide to watch the whole of season 1 to see if the show could redeem itself........ and I have to say the show sadly doesn't get any better than the first episode but some episode are better than other but still not a series worth the rating 9 out of 10.

Dislikes : The one thing ive noticed with daredevil is the length of the episodes, 1 hour long episode for its pacing is to much time for a slow pace series, i found myself getting bored of watching it wasn't actual grabbing my attention because i found my self doing other things normal a series im in to grabs my attention im glued to the screen sadly with this series i just could sit a watch this because every episode is the same pace i feel these episode are better off being 30 - 40 min long.
The lack variety in the series is poor, every episode feels the same dam thing that to me is boring not very exciting, i found this to be a very over rated series not worth the 9 out of 10. I'm not saying this because im not a fan of marvel im saying this as a film review because this series could have so much more potential but sadly fall short of that.
The other problem is the portrayal of the daredevil in this series, he suppose to be a superhuman with heighten sense which would mean he would be faster at reacting & win every fight without taken to much damage, yet this daredevil doesn't feel like daredevil because he gets he's ass kick to many time every time he gets in to a fight the concept of heighten sense complete goes out the window here this is weak writing for the character that's suppose to be a superhero.

Overall : Overrated series that's not worth the 9 out of 10, Episode are slow, only a few episode are good.

Rating: 4 out of 5 for entertainment / 5.7 out of 10 for concept / superhero theme.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: Some scene maybe frighting for younger viewer

StoryA medical student who becomes a zombie joins a Coroner's Office in order to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat so that she can maintain her humanity. But every brain she eats, she also inherits their memories. Now she uses her abilities to solve their deaths with help from the Medical examiner and a police detective.

Likes :  This series is not just a by product from a popular culture of horror film zombie genre this is actual based off the popular comic book called I zombie as show below.

This pilot episode has promise but weather this series could last more than 1 season time will tell as ive only seen the pilot episode which was to bad, the plot is pretty simple to follow A medical resident turns into a zombie after a party gone wrong one night.
There isn't any major stars in this series looks like news face's apart from Rose McIver (star of The Lovely Bones ) who plays the main character pretty well as a zombie, she a cold but strange personality to the character which is cool, Rahul Kohli try to bring a comedic side but sometime feels flat on the jokes really playing  Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti.
The plot is of her life which gets kind of turned up side down & she has no choice but to quit her work & starts to work in a morgue and eat the brains from murder victims, this is where this series taken on a different theme which works as it not just a zombie show it more of a zombie heroin zombie show as she able to gain memories & insight into the victims deaths that will helps to solve the murders while trying to hide what she is.
So far the first episode shows promise although lacking in humor at the moment it feels very dull & bleak but try to be a little comical & light hearted which make it OK but not brilliant as its lacking in a few thing's to get you hooked, it kind of like a mellow drama at the moment but hopefully the series will pick up in later episode's & become a enjoyable series to watch. So far i like what im seeing this could be a good series to get into if your a zombie fan with a difference.

Dislikes :  The only problem i see is this show is going to be compared with a show called Tru Calling that Eliza Dushku did not in a zombe way but with the psychic powers i feel this might end up with the same concept so hopefully they would do something different from this concept, the only other complaint is that zombie don't sleep, she was see sleeping, if they want to keep this show looking real that need to change.

Overall : Great first start, it got potential, needs to be a bit more comical in place but not a bad start to a new series.

Rating:  4.3 out of 5 for entertainment / 7.3 out of 10 for concept

Profanity: Mild language

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Unknown at this point.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: the threat of a virus wipe out the world maybe disturbing for some views

Story:Follows the journey of a time traveler from the post-apocalyptic future who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race.

Likes : If you have ever watch the film 12 monkeys starring Brad Pitt & Bruce Willis your understand the story-line of this series which this is based off from where a deadly virus is released in to the world it wipe out 7 billion people on the planet, those that were immune to the virus had to deal with people driven to madness trying to survive in a world were the government has collapse.
This series dosent follow were the original film film this is taken back to the very origins of the story where they send someone from the future to the past to stop the virus, now the first plot episode show the bases of the story, dose show the past & the acting is pretty solid although this is a new series its yet to prove itself what ive seen so far the story-line is pretty simple so far easy to follow.

Dislikes : After view the first episode of this new series which i understand is just starting its lacking the wow factor to get me hooked, it seem to be lacking the edge to really grab you & keep you hook to keep watch, yes this is the first episode but i feel this series really need to up its game in the second episode because i feel if it carry on the way it is at the start this series wont last more than season 1 because its a poor start to a series which dosent necessary mean the whole series will be bad just that the first episode failed to get me gripped into watching more by i will give it a chance , maybe some may like it but other will not

Overall : Great actor, simple story-line, based of the film 12 monkeys, poor start.

Rating: 4.7 out of 5 for entertainment / 5.5 out of 10 just for the poor start.

Story: A man struggling with his faith is haunted by the sins of his past but is suddenly thrust into the role of defending humanity from the gathering forces of darkness.

Likes : Cant really say must as to if this series will take off but so far for the pilot episode it has started off pretty strong as you get to see based character & a future plot emerge but doesn't give away to much. Allot of people would try to compare this to supernatural but this is a different storyline concept & also a different story line for the film version itself.
This is a series based of the Constantine hell blazer novels which has been reboot for the TV series, which is not bad, the series seem to have been put allot effort into as it doesn't look cheaply made, the acting to brilliant, along with the special effects of the demonic entity & the horror feel.
The story base line inst to bad Iver as we get a character of Constantine played Matt Ryan that come across simply as sarcastic & arrogant at time but you can see why he like this as his past is covered in regret for a job that he failed to protect someone.
The writers were clever about how they can't show Constantine smoking on camera. Instead, you'll see him idly toying with a lighter and putting out cigarettes that he would have just finished. It's network television that clearly doesn't want to promote smoking in their series. They didn't stray from the horror and the occult, either as the horror content & ritual signs are present so in some way yes this is similar to supernatural. Finally, the season at a glance trailer that played at the end offered much more promise to this series so hopefully this series work out. Fans of the comics will recognise some nods here and there, as well.

Dislikes : At the moment its only the first pilot episode so cant really say if anything s wrong .

Overall : Great strong start to a series, showing demonic creatures & entitys great acting, a series not cheaply done.

Sex & Nudity: Once in a while Sam or Dean have hookups with girls, but it is fairly brief.

Some innuendo and sexual references.

Dean is known as a bit of a womanizer in the first few series but seems to mature more as the show progresses.

While the sex scenes are not graphic and show no nudity they are usually quite long and involve lots of kissing, caressing and thrusting.

Women are shown in their underwear.

A few scenes involve strip clubs where women where skimpy outfits and come very close to revealing nudity.

One character seems uneducated about sex and is often confused by references made, though he appears to understand things more when he sleeps with a women for the first time and asks if 'what he did was correct.'

Slight references made to masturbation

An elderly woman tries to flirt with Sam in a season 3 episode.

Dean is a fan of nude magazines and pornographic movies, both on the internet and television. They do not show any nudity but the subject is brought up from time to time.

Violence & Gore: Most episodes tend to be infrequently violent and very rarely graphic or gory. As the seasons progress, graphic and bloody violence becomes more frequent albeit without much focus on gore.

Supernatural beings are killed with axes, guns, blades in some very brutal ways. Guts can be seen briefly in several times.

Sam and Dean have at least 1 time that they enjoy killing things without necessity.

Most of the violent scenes are served for frightening/intense scenes catagory.

Profanity:  Damn, Hell, Crap, Piss , Bitch, Ass nothing over the top.

Some uses of ''Prick''.

One use of ''Shit'' in the episode ''Hollywood Babylon''.

In the episode ''Ghostfacers'' all cuss words are censored.

In later seasons, "dick" is frequently used as an insult term. In these later seasons a character named Dick Roman is introduced, and comical innuendos are often made of his name, such as the television caption reading "the rise of Dick."

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: Most episodes end with Sam & Dean drinking beers. Several scenes in bars featuring drunk people. Little or no other drug use, if so then not by the main characters.

Frightening/Intense Scenes:  Many frightening and/or intense scenes including; creatures, people being attacked, and even Dean going to hell. Episodes are sometimes frightening, intense, emotional and infrequently violent.

Story: This television drama is about two brothers, Sam and Dean, who were raised by their father, John, to hunt and kill all things that go "bump in the night" after his wife, Mary, was murdered by evil supernatural being when the boys were young. 22 years later the brothers set out on a journey, fighting evil along the way, to find their recently missing father who, when they finally meet up with, reveals he knows what killed their mother, a demon, and has found a way to track and kill it. Meanwhile, Sam starts to develop frightening abilities that include death visions, visions of people dying before it actually happens. These visions are somehow connected to the demon who murdered his mother and its mysterious plans that seem to be all about Sam. When their father dies striking a deal with the very same devil that had killed his wife, the brothers, now alone and without their mentor, are determined to finish the crusade their father started. But disturbing revelations about Sam's part in...

Likes : This is one series that start off very strong as it leave no stone unturned for frightening scenes, as you see two brother throw in to a dark world of hunting everything paranormal & crypted after something took there family.
I love this season for the reason that ever episode is never the same & has it own style of creepiness that is filmed brilliant by the cast,  This show is everything you ever wanted in a TV show. It's suspenseful, the characters have depth, it's funny without being silly, it has a touch of campyness (but not enough to be ridiculous although some episode are seriously funny & frighting at the same time). The strongest element of the show by far is the two leads, Jared Padalecki (Sam) and the phenomenal Jensen Ackles (Dean--who is easily one of the most compelling and likable characters your see on TV in a long time).
They play brothers who had been separated for a few years when the search for their missing father brings them back together. They grew up hunting supernatural beings with their father so they travel across the country fighting evil that get in their way.
Dean and Sam have excellent on screen chemistry and a dynamic that really works for a show like this. It's important for a show like this, with only two leads (and really no supporting characters yet ) that the two leads be interesting and complex enough both together and on their own to keep people interested in the show. The creators of this series have hit the ball out of the park with Dean and Sam as it become a big fan based serious that has gone on to do 10 season.
Dean and Sam each bring their own strengths and weaknesses and each have their own crosses to bear. Dean still remembers his mother (who is shown in a flashback being brutally murdered by an unknown evil force) who died when he was a small child so he understands the reasoning behind his father's crusade. Sam is haunted by the death of his girlfriend (coincidentally--or not--killed in the exact same manner as their mother) which was the catalyst for him joining Dean in the search for their father, in the hopes that Dad has found out something more about whatever killed the most important women in his life.
The season has gone on to show ghost, creatures demon & angels so what's next for season 10? this is a series i recommend getting in to as it one of the these best series on tv, Special with the new character that join the series special Mark Sheppard who play Crowley he's just a character you gotta love but hate at the same time & well as  Misha Collins who plays Castiel who he funny at time but such a great character this is why this series just get stronger & strong as the season go on so worth owning on Dvd / blu-ray.

Overall : One of the best Tv series around, great acting ,great episodes great story's

In multiple episodes an alien woman is shown wearing an outfit that exposes most of her body, including the sides of her breasts and the entirety of her legs.

Season 2, episode 1: It is plain to tell that a female character gives her husband a handjob while visiting when he is incarcerated in a work camp. The same male character grabs another females hand near the end of the episode and starts to pleasure himself with it, but she refuses to continue, joking about it.

Violence & Gore: In "The Devil in the Dark", two bloody, gory after-murder scenes are shown; characters are shown picking up the remaining body parts. In addition, one of the deaths is actually shown, where a hell-bug is shown eating ostensibly through a man's back up out of his chest.

Weapons fire and explosions are often shown. Characters threaten each other with sci-fi knives.

Several characters are shown having been injured by firearms, but the wounds are not gory.

In "The Serpent's Egg", a character is killed in an explosion. Afterwards the scene of the explosion and some are shown.

Profanity: The fictional profanity "shtako" is used repetitively. The term "screw" is used both sexually and non-sexually.
The word "shit" is mentioned 4 times in season 2

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking:Many scenes take place in a bar, where large amounts of alcohol consumption are portrayed.

"A Well Respected Man" revolves around an illegal drug harvesting plant, where one character is shown injecting himself with the drugs twice.

Frightening/Intense Scenes: suggested rating R for sci-fi violence, brief language, sexual content, nudity and some drug use

Story: In the year 2046, it's a new Earth - with new rules. Over thirty years after various alien races arrived on Earth, the landscape is completely altered, terraformed nearly beyond recognition. To the town of Defiance, on what used to be St. Louis, comes the mysterious Nolan (Grant Bowler) and his charge, Irisa (Stephanie Leonidas). As they settle into town - overseen by the mayor, Amanda Rosewater (Julie Benz) and filled with residents like the powerful Rafe McCawley (Graham Greene), enterprising lounge owner Kenya (Mia Kirshner) and the ambitious, alien Tarrs (Tony Curran and Jaime Murray) - events begin to unfold that threaten the fragile peace this border town has fought for.

Likes : Not many series start off strong & some rarely make it past first season but thankfully this series made it past the first season & has become one of the popular TV series on syfy channel as well as a game on consoles & pc's.
It start off strong with a back ground Story on what's happen & how things have changed on the earth after the war which really set the tone & atmosphere of the series which is easy to understand, you get to know the place on where most of the series is set, which is based In the city of St. Louis which is renamed Defiance after the war where you get to see different people mixture with aliens from other worlds, kind of like Babylon but on earth.
What brilliant about this series is you get to know the individual character as the series progress which is good because your not getting characters just throw at you not know who they are, you really get to know their personality's which give each character its edge, by the time you half way through episode one of this series your hooked. This series really dose draw you in as there is murder, sabotage, plots, revenge & intense moment's as you start to get to know them all you start to find you care for the characters which is good when a series dose this.It a series i recommend  for all sci-fi fan's as this is one of the popular tv shows on syfy.

Dislikes : The one thing really which is just a slight flaw is some the C.G.I can look a little cheaply done which is understandable trying to keep the cost of the series down, but it could do with being a little better, apart from that the series is really good.

Overall : Intense & emotional moments, characters your love to love & love to hate, great character development
